HM receives message from Japanese PM

MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received a message from Taro Aso, PM of Japan.

The message was received on behalf of His Majesty the Sultan by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, deputy prime minister of the Council of Ministers, when he received Yasuo Fukuda, former prime minister and envoy of the Japanese prime minister, here yesterday.

Fukuda conveyed the greetings of the Japanese leadership and the government along with their best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan, the Omani government and the people.

During the talks, both the leaders reviewed the strong relations between the two countries and the positive results achieved from the joint march.

They also reviewed a number of current issues at the regional and international fronts. Sayyid Fahd asked the Japanese envoy to convey His Majesty the Sultan’s greetings and best wishes to the Japanese leadership and further progress and development to the Japanese people.

In return, the envoy expressed his delight and that of his delegation for visiting the Sultanate.

He expressed appreciation of the Japanese government for the comprehensive progress made by the Sultanate at various fronts under His Majesty the Sultan’s wise leadership.

He also expressed satisfaction of his government for the growing relations between the two countries that serve the interests of the two friendly peoples. The meeting was attended by Seji Morimoto, Japanese ambassador to the Sultanate.
