Counselling on higher education from tomorrow

MUSCAT — Lynx Oman is organising a ‘Higher Education Counselling Meet 09’ here tomorrow and on Wednesday.

This is a one-stop information event for learning about the variety of professional and vocational courses that non-resident Indians and other students can pursue in reputed institutions of higher learning in India. Students, along with their parents, will get an opportunity to personally interact with college administrators and professors to know about the variety of educational programmes available in India

The meet displays attractive options available to NRI and other students from Muscat and beyond to obtain undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in various disciplines, including medicine, engineering, business management, marketing and communications, arts and science, hospitality and hotel management and allied health sciences. The meet is expected to have nearly eight leading Indian educational institutions with more than 30 institutions under them offering nearly 100 and above programmes. All the visiting institutes are recognised by the AICTE, UGC and respective government bodies in India.

The ‘Study in India counselling and interaction meet’ offers free one-to-one educational counselling/registration and admissions for higher education programmes. Tomorrow’s presentation will be held at Indian School Darsait from 9am to 12.30pm and at Hotel Haffa House from 3.30pm to 9pm on ‘Education in India’ by key academic persons. On Wednesday, the meet will be held at Indian School Al Ghubra from 9am to 12.30pm and at Hotel Haffa House from 3.30pm to 9pm. With over 350 universities and 15,500 colleges offering the widest spectrum of courses, India has the second largest education system in the world.
