HM receives Kuwaiti emir’s message

MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received a written message from His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jabr Al Sabah, emir of Kuwait, on promoting relations between the two countries in different fields and issues of joint interest.

The message was delivered by Dr Mohammed Al Sabah Al Salim Al Sabah, Kuwait’s deputy prime minister and foreign minister, special envoy of the emir, when His Majesty gave him an audience at Bait Al Barkah yesterday.

The deputy prime minister also conveyed the emir’s best wishes to His Majesty and the Omani people. His Majesty the Sultan asked him to convey his greetings and best wishes to the emir. Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, minister responsible for foreign affairs, and Shamlan Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al Roomi, Kuwait’s ambassador to the Sultanate, attended the audience.

The Kuwaiti guest left later yesterday and he was seen off by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, the ambassador of Kuwait and Nasir bin Khalfan Al Kharousi, head of protocols department at the Foreign Ministry.
