Fahd receives Tunisian PM’s message

MUSCAT — His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, deputy prime minister for the Council of Ministers, received here yesterday Hamoudah Al Rihani, ambassador of the Tunisian republic to the Sultanate.

He conveyed a verbal message from Mohammed Al Ghanoushi, PM of the Tunisian republic, dealing with further communications between the two brotherly countries and developing fields of cooperation between them.

Conversation during the meeting dealt with the strong brotherly relations between the two countries in a number of fields, in addition to reviewing all situations in the Arab and international arenas. The ambassador expressed his satisfaction with the level of the existing cooperation between the two countries and his appreciation for the efforts exerted by the Sultanate at the external level and the developmental achievements witnessed by the country thanks to its wise leadership.

Meanwhile, Sayyid Fahd also received here yesterday heads of delegations and representatives of regional and international organisations currently taking part at the G-77 Ministerial Forum on Water being hosted by the Sultanate.

He welcomed the guests who are attending the conference and representing the member states together with the water resources experts wishing them all success.

In his talks, Sayyid Fahd underlined the importance of water resources for life in the world, the efforts needed to reduce the negative practices that could affect water resources.

He said the Sultanate put development of water resources as top priority, which is important for the sustainable development.
