HM receives message from Yemen president

MUSCAT — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has received a message from Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh dealing with bilateral relations and regular consultations between the two brotherly countries in various fields and issues of concern.

The message was received by His Majesty the Sultan when he gave an audience at Bait Al Barakah yesterday to Dr Abu Bakr Abdullah Al Qirbi, Yemeni foreign minister and envoy of the Yemeni president. The Yemeni envoy also conveyed greetings of President Saleh, Yemeni government and people to His Majesty and the Omani people.

His Majesty the Sultan asked Dr Qirbi to convey his greetings and best wishes to the Yemeni president and the brotherly Yemeni people.

The audience was attended by Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, minister responsible for foreign affairs; Abdulrahman Khamis Obaid, ambassador of the Yemeni Republic to the Sultanate, and the delegation accompanying the guest.

Qirbi and his delegation left yesterday at the end of their visit and were seen off by the minister responsible for foreign affairs and the Yemeni ambassador.
